89.7 Bay has teamed up with Arts Council Malta and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ to find Malta’s best young talent.
The ‘Artivisti’ scheme has selected 10 young people who have outstanding potential across the arts scene.
The scheme will provide them with training, mentoring, and networking to develop their creative skills.
Malta’s parliamentary secretary for youth Clifton Grima welcomed the support of Malta’s number one radio station, 89.7 Bay.
He said: ‘Artivisti will provide a space for young people to challenge peers and communicate the significance of their creative expression to the wider community.
‘Year after year, these Artivisti will create a legacy of creative works from the younger generations’.
Selected artists will be awarded a package of benefits and opportunities for a year.
These include a grant of €2,000 for their personal creative development, the services of a professional mentor to support them in their artistic career and networking opportunities.
They will also become members of the Artivisti alumni community to support other upcoming artists in the forthcoming editions of the programme.
